Igniting Instrumental Change

The Global Music Box is a pioneering initiative set to revolutionize the future of music education through a transformative toolkit called MUSIC SCHOOL IN A BOX. The box contains instruments, comprehensive music curriculum books, and an online teacher training platform. This platform empowers teachers to become music educators who can seamlessly transform classrooms into music classrooms – overnight.

Each MUSIC SCHOOL IN A BOX contains:

• 40 music curriculum books - Created by Rwanda Rocks Music School Director, Jean Nkundabatware De Dieu, and Dr. Richard Carrick, Chair Composition, Berklee College of Music.

• 20 Rwanda Rocks Fun & Rockin’ Piano books

• 20 Fun & Rockin' Guitar books

• 20 new guitars

• 20 new keyboards

• Teacher Training Platform - An online teaching platform containing video modules of each class / chapter in the book.
  

THE VISION

Mary Fanaro, the visionary behind OmniPeace Foundation, conceived The Global Music Box initiative after building two music schools in Rwanda. She recognized that instead of building more music schools, she could have a more significant impact empowering teachers to become music educators who could integrate music programs into their classrooms.

Through this innovative approach, The Global Music Box emphasizes the vital role music education plays in every child's school day. 

WHY MUSIC?

The Rwanda Rocks Music Schools stand as an unequivocally successful pilot program, with an impressive track record of outstanding achievements and undeniable success. 

Students in this program have exhibited social-emotional wellbeing, improved academic performance, and an increase in literacy - a necessary step in the fight against poverty.
